There is no language for patriotism. This message is conveyed to the society through silent Indian National Anthem, which is presented by our students at various occasions.
The Silent National Anthem was not only appreciated in India but also internationally. It received 3 medals in Cannes festival, a most prestigious event held in France & also received 2nd best viewed video on You Tube.
Our students got an opportunity to present National Anthem in presence of dignitaries like;
One of our presentations was also telecasted by CNN-IBN channel. Actors like Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, Mrs. Madhuri Dixit, Mrs. Shabana Azmi, and cricket commentator Mr. Harsh Bhogle were present.
The children also presented the silent National Anthem is telecasted in theaters all over India.
Dental screening camp was organised in our school by Clinical Commitee on 30th July 2019. 195 students were screened by Dr Maitry Shah, of which 152 students have been referred for Dental treatment. As a preventive measure, Dr Maitri Shah has insisted that students should know about how to take care of their teeth and use proper brushing techniques in order to prevent cavities. Hence, she herself would be taking classwise 'Hands-on sessions on Brushing Techniques 'for students above 10 years of age, in the month of September.
The first parent teacher meet of academic year 2019-20 was held on july 6,2019. Deep prajwalan in front of lord ganesha was followed by welcome speech of HM Poonam Sawant. Parents of 10th std students were involved to talk about rules of the school. School audiologist spoke about Maintenance of Hearing aid as well as CI. Information about UDID documents was given by the social worker. Parents who have worked out of the way for their ward were felicitated on this occasion. Thanksgiving was done by Saheja sir, secretary, CCYM. Around 140 parents attended the meet, though it was heavy rainy day.
On 16th Feb 2019, Shri Ashok Bhatia and his daughter donated Digital programmable hearing aids to 7 students of our school. Of these, 2 students were from pre primary section, 1 from primary section, 3 from secondary section and one from vocational center. Shri. Ashok Bhatiaandhis daughter with students who received hearing aids in donation - Sadhana Yadav, Afreen Shaikh, Zeeshan Shaikh, Hamja and Harsha Dardi. One of the students, Rishabh Mishra could not attend the program, he was given the hearing aid later on 20th Feb 2019. These hearing aids will definitely help all these students to hear better and thus aid in improving their communication skills.
On the occasion of Janmashtami, we tried to create a festive environment in our school. Students dressed up as Lord Krishna and His Gopikas so as to feel the celebrate more closely. Not only they dressed up beautifully but we also did the activity of Dahi-Handi, which is the many event if Janmashtami. Decorations were done in the school premises to make the environment light and happy.
On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, we celebrated this auspicious day by performing various functions. Children performed aarti and took blessings of Lord Ganesha.
This year, all the 10 students of Rochiram T Thadhani high school of hearing handicapped school passed with flying colours. Simran Suhanda topped with 80 percent marks followed by Zainul Sheikh with 79.2 percent. 9 students passed with distinction whereas one student passed with first class.The school boasts of following a trend of 100 percent result since 13 yrs. With limited language capacity hearing handicapped students have to struggle hard to get through exams but with the coordinated efforts of the school team and the parents results have shown .said the principal of the school poonam sawant. The students did not attend any coaching classes but they were guided after school hours under AAS The school is managed by chembur colony yuvak mandal who always encouraged and supported the students. This year too management of the school has agreed to sponsor the fees for 11th std. The names of the students are:

Six students of Std. 9th from our school attended Robot making workshop for 4 months and also took part in a competition arranged by an international organization. The team bags the award for best performance of first time participant.
Service is a very broad concept. We, the teachers of Std II, tried to show altogether a different aspect of the society and disability too. Visit is the regular part of our curriculum. We tried to show a different world to our students and tried to touch their emotions. So we visited Sulabha Special School on 12th December 2018 which is located in Chembur itself. This school is for mentally challenged. Of course, we briefed the students before going to meet those children. Our students belong to a very sensitive age group of 10- 12 years. Our objective was to make the students aware about another type of disability which could be the possible strength of our students.
Our children became very friendly with these new friends in such a short period of time. They started conversing with them tried to help them in making christmas decoration.
Being handicapped, our students have a habit of getting help, reward, gift etc many times, but they were in the role of givers which was altogether a different experience to them. Many times our students see to it that whether they are getting everything or not. But here they were asking the same for their new friend, which was very appreciating. It definitely helped in self unfoldment in their personality. We will give exposure to the same group through such kind of activities in future.
Dr. Batra's Foundation had invited us to present CCYM National Anthem in their programme of "Positive Health Awards" function held at Royal Opera House. In this programme they gave awards to Disabled Persons who contributed a lot for the society. We had a great chance to meet such people and sharing their experience. The occasion was graced by film personaities like Shatrughan Sinha, Shekhar Suman, Zayed Khan, Kiran Shantaram and Ali Asgar.
An event organized by Art in Park, organized by Priyadarshini Park, was a two-day festival, with an overwhelming view of the moving sun, the flow of vehicles, the chatter of the children, the celebration of men, and the celebration of more than one colorful event. For the last 4 years, Rockiram Children of T.Dhadani High School for Hearing Impaired submit to the Nation here, who teach art to the learners (sometimes paper quilling and sometimes papatas). Our workshop always provides an unprecedented response.
As a part of celebration of International day of Persons with Disabilities, an awareness programme was organised in our school. The basic objective of the program was to sensitize students of regular School to the needs of differently abled children and motivate them to contribute to the society in a meaningful manner as a part of social service activity.
90 students of grade 4 from Somaiya School attended the program. The programme started with a welcome song by our students and a small orientation on Hearing Impairment. This was followed by a craft activity session where in the students of Somaiyya school got an opportunity to interact and mingle with students with our students. The students were given grammar worksheets of Bhashankur. Teachers of Somaiyaa schools appreciated the same and asked us to give us the feedback in the form of results. The activity was coordinated by the Vice Principal of the school. The objective of the activity is to make regular students realize that students of hearing handicapped are no different in any aspect.
The program concluded with Hum Honge song presented by our students in sign language which was very much appreciated. The contribution of craft teachers was remarkable in the entire programme.
Today, the school got second prize in various sports competitions held at Goregaon Sports Club, during the World Disability Day, whereas in the march past, the rhythm won the first prize.
Today we were invited by Lioness Club of Pantnagar to present CCYM National Anthem in their Award and Installation Ceremony. This programme was short and sweet. Seema Shah (Newly Elected President and also alumni of HACE) assured us about helping our school in various activities this year. Thanks to Lioness Club of Pantnagar.
This hospital is built for patients suffering from burn injuries caused by fire hazards.
To make everyone aware about the precautions,safety, prevention from fire, we organised a short lecture of Dr. Navin Vajirani. He explained all the things very nicely and in easy language. Students understood the seriousness of this subject. Dr.Vazirani explained about skin donation also.We are very thankful to them.

Shree Samartha Vyayam Mandir Dadar had organised a camp for 6 days. In this camp participants learnt various activities like Malkhamb, Gymnastics, Floor exercises etc. In this camp, 2 of our school students were chosen as The Best Candidate by Shri Uday Deshpande Sir. Samarth and Kalpesh made us proud.

International Yoga Day
Today, yoga day is Rochiram T. Thadani High School for Hearing Handicapped as usual. If the importance of Yoga was influenced by the children's mind, Sanjay Sarani demonstrated, who got all the praise. The enthusiasm of the children was appreciable. Thanks to all the members of the Sport Committee.
Magic Bus is Asia largest mentoring organisation. It seeks to facilitate the journey out of poverty by working with adolescents. Our Rochiram T. Thadani High School For Hearing Handicapped is the part of this project. Today visitors from U.K (Change Foundation) had visited the school to see this project works for our special students. After meeting our students and interacting with them they were very impressed. Our school is the 1st school which has taken part in this project from last year. Our students are enjoying a lot, learnt team work, value education and appreciate others through the games which are taught through this project. Magic Bus is making wonder for our children.
We are very much thankful to Sindhutai, Renuka, Lalita and Vinayak who are the mentors and now friends of our students.

For hearing handicap students SSC exam is a milestone. And what after SSC is also a subject of concern. Keeping this in mind on 28th March, we organized one contact programme from four various institutes who are working on these lines.
Sujaya Foundation, Sarthak Foundation and Youth 4 jobs are the organizations who provide training and also give placements to hearing handicap students. Representatives were invited and they gave their organisation's information to 9th - SSC appeared students and their parents.
Ms. Geeta Srivastav co-ordinator of Anil Asrani Vocational Institute also gave the information about their college and vocational courses.
All the students will benefit from this and must have got the guidance for their future career.
MLA of Chembur Shri Prakash Phaterpekar and Suprada Phaterpekar with their team visited our school. Shri Prakashji showed a keen interest in knowing about educating students suffering from hearing impaired. In the Chembur Festival, our students had taught Paper Quilling, Paper Bag Decoration etc. which was deeply appreciated and felicitated by Prakashji. Padma Mam a very dynamic personality, who cares for every student donated Rs.1 Lakh to our school which will be used for the development of potential of these students in Art.
Donation programme took place on 31stMarch.6 children were given the digital hearing aids by 5 medical practitioners who have a soial concern and attached to our school through various programmes.
Dr. Brado, Dr. Parihar, Dr. Narurkar, Mr and Mrs.Rajadhyaksha are the doctors helped our children.
As every academic year, Dr. Avnish Shah paediatric practitioner came thrice for the regular medical check up in the month of February.
Dr. Narurkar is our ENT doctor giving his services for the last 27 years from the beginning of the school. As every year, ENT check-up of all our children in the month of February. He also provided ear drops and done syringing for all 225 chidren free of charge.
With the initiative of Indian oil gas through corporate social responsibility project, 22 digital programmable hearing aids of Starkey company, 15 computers and furniture of four classrooms were received in donation. The distribution of the same was done on 21st March 2018 sin the presence of Mr. Rokade (DGM-HR Indian oil gas), trustees of CCYM, Principal of RTT School, Hashuadvani College, Amar Asrani Vocational College and staff of Rochiram T Thadhani high school. The programe ended with thanking note by parents and Chairman Mr Narendra Kalra. Donation received in the form of hearing aids, furniture and computers will surely help the students in a long way.

CCYM had organised a Walkathon for Senior Citizens today in Chembur. It was fantastic and thrilling. Everyone appreciated this programme. All credit for the same goes to R.T.T, HACSE, AAVC and CCYM for their tiring efforts and good team work.

Mr.Sanjay Gupta (Executive Vice President of Kotak Mahindra Bank) was the chief guest and Dr. Jayashree Phadnis (Principal of Vivekanand Arts,Commerce and Science College) was the guest of honour for today's function.
Last but not the least we invited to Mr. Mahesh Sabale and Mr. Suraj Giri who saved the life of 200 people from the fire of Kamala Mill Compound. Salute to them as they are Real Heroes.
Our students who passed in elementary performed various activities. And fancy dress was done by our little wonders.
On 12th January, Mr. Suhas Khamkar, the famous body builder visited the school. Our sports competition prizes were distributed by him. Mr. Sanjay Aamberkar also visited the school. He is a Gold Medalist and title winner too at state level. Mrs. Sarla Rao, an ex-president of Inner Wheel Club of Deonar was also present to grace the occassion. She also runs an Adult Literacy Programme for our parents since last two years with a great success.
Today January 10th and 11th, our sports meet began. Shrimati Sindhutai Jogi from Magic Bus (NGO) and Mrs. Komal Chawala President of Inner Wheel Club of Deonar inaugurated the function.
Today on 5th January, Dr. Anita Sharan visited our school. She is an oncologist surgeon. She delivered lecture on how to prevent Tobacco, Uterus and Breast Cancer. The message was reached to all students very clearly. We hope that now they will say NO to cigarette, drinking, guthkha, PAN and supari.
On 20th December, an interactive sessions conducted by our school with Aakar School of Sukma Chattisgarh and With Niranjan Ranade (Freelancing Graphic Artist) from Nagpur. It is a novel idea and innovative use of modern technology through which really the world has come closer.

Every year Indian Heritage society organizes ’Art in Park’ and invites us. This time we have presented CCYM's Silent National Anthem,Pyramid and Hum Honge Kamyab at Priyadarshini Park, Nepeansea Road. This is a two days program and is well organised.Our performances were excellent as usual. From last 4 years our students taught Puppets, paper Bag Decoration and Paper quilling to the normal Kids.
On the 2nd day our students taught Puppets and Bag Decoration to 350 to 400 students. Thank you Greeting Card given to all our students as a mark of appreciation.

One with Nature had organised a colourful programme for 2 days in Maharashtra Nature Park. There our students presented Pyramid, Musical Yoga and 'Hum Honge Kamyab' song through signs. Spectators admired all three programmes.
14th November is Children's day. On the occasion of this SRCC Children's Hospital held a special function in which we were invited for presenting Yoga with Music, a song by our hearing impaired students, Pyramid based on Swatantrayveer Sawarkar and Hum Honge Kamyab in signs.
Hearing aid donation programme by lions club of Bombay chunabhatti took place on 12th Oct, 2017. Dr Urvi patel, Mr Kamlesh Dalal (district governor) and dignitaries attended the function. Four of our younger students are the beneficiaries for the same.
On 7th October 2017, Vivekanand management students visited our special school as a part of their syllabus. 57 students with 2 faculties visited the school. All the highlights like speech room, auditorium, computer room and most important classroom with the students was seen by them. Through this visit, they are sensitized and also advocacy is done.
A "Miming " competition was held by Inner Wheel Club of Chembur on the occasion of "World Deaf Day!! In this competition We presented a small drama on the topic of "Childhood of Shivaji Raje". All the students participated very enthusiastically.
Today on the occasion of "Banega Swachh India" our children presented the rendition of the iconic song "Hum Honge Kamyab" at the Sun & Sand Hotel at Juhu in front of the gracious presence of Shri.Amitabh Bachchanji. After the presentation he shook hands with all the students and complimented them for their efforts. This is just the beginning, as an adieu,tonight at 9 pm our students will perform their now famous CCYM'S National Anthem.
Pallavi Haldankar, our senior teacher from R.T.T. School got Nation Builder Award from Rotary Club of Deonar on the occasion of Teachers Day. The Club also felicitated Sunita Chindarkar and Vanita Dhuri two more senior teachers of our school.
After a gap of 24 years, on 16 th august we took our students for a trekking expedition. It was a very thrilling and exciting adventure for our students for the first time.It was a comparatively small trek. It took hardly one hour to reach the top.All the students reached safely at the top. While descending they had a harrowing time. But all in all it was a throughly an enjoying and memorable experience for our students.
Parent an important aspect of child education; play an important role, especially for our students with hearing impairment. Every year, it is observed that the parents of newly admitted students are sometimes in a state of confusion; they are disoriented regarding the schooling pattern, hearing aids, hearing loss, regarding their expectations as a parent and many other similar issues. They seem to get lost in the new school atmosphere in the initial period of 2-3 months.
Keeping this in mind, HASCE conducts Mother Training Program every year which is generally held after 3 months of their admission, wherein education of the child is the main focus. However, we as a professional team, felt the need to cater to the personal and emotional aspects of the parents in the first few days of schooling, so that the parents will have a better acceptance of their child disability and will be in a better position to fulfill their responsibilities.

The programme started with the flag hoisting by Chief guest and followed by March past by our students.
Mrs.Rukmini Datta, Head of the Department of Cipla Foundation was our Chief Guest .She was accompanied with Mr.Yadav from CSR dept of Cipla Three Students were felicitated through Merit Award Programme for their Academic excellence in Academic and Vocational subjects in S.S.C .on with the cash prize. We are looking forward to long association with Cipla Foundation.

Yoga Dance, the new concept was introduced by one of our teachers and was performed by ourmstudents. It was a innovative idea and wonderful experience.
Inauguration of parents meeting, Two meetings were conducted. One for newly admiited students parents and another for rest of the students parents. Meetings were conducted on 7th july for rest of the parents and on 31st July for New admissions.
22nd July is the date of Dear Hashuji Death Anniversary.On this day we remember him through various performances and pay our homage to him.
Today was a very great day for R.T.T. High School for Hearing Handicapped. Anushka, a young student from South Huston, USA had visited the school with all her supportive family members. She is only 14 years old. As a school project, her group (5 members) had started to make food and sell it. They were implementing this project for the last one year. Finally her group collected Rs.2 lakhs. They decided to donate their earnings and use it for some noble cause and help the deserved children. And she donated this huge amount to RTT school through a small function. Thanks a ton to Anushka, her group members and her family for their kind hearted and noble deed.
On this occasion, some of our students performed dance, miming and a small skit with different methods of communication of H.I students.
workshop was conducted by Mr.Zankar Gadkari on motivation for staff. The lecture was interactive and participatory.The topics covered were time management,stress management,interpersonal relationships,and written goals.

My young brigade is so lucky as today they have got the training for their March-Past from CAPT Pravin Haria who is the NCC Instructor in Somaiya College. This is the preparation for the parade that we are presenting on Republic Day!!
Today we visited Chembur High School and presented the National Anthem, Pyramids and Drill work. Our students sang 2 songs. Surprisingly 1 deaf student from chembur high school also sang poem. With this, we completed our project of "Awareness Programme Week for the Society" on a happy note.

Really proud moment for our Rochiram T. Thadani High school as our students are full Chamkofying in the movie "AKIRA" which was released on 2nd September starring Sonakshi Sinha.
This new concept is strongly implemented in Maharashtra now. To promote this idea, we welcomed Ganapati Bappa today. Everybody recited Aarti, afterwards we did a symbolic immersion and kept the idol back.
Ministry of Youth affairs & sports and special olympics (Bharat Maharashtra) organised Athletic Meet on 30th and 31st August, 2016 held at Airoli. Our 10 students participated & won 13 medals: Gold - 5, Silver - 4, Bronze - 4. Thanks to Sports teachers Mr. Sanjay Pimpale and Mr. Ashok Waghmare. It is through their untiring efforts this achievement was possible for our School.
He has made idol of Ganapati from Shardul soil which was appreciated by Kanchan Nath. She bought it and welcomed it in her home. Appropriate remuneration was given by her to Harish. He is a good painter also and gets all the guidance as well as motivation from his parents along with Pawle sir.
Today was a valuable day for the students of Std. 6th to 8th as Marathi Vigyan Parishad had organised a lecture on "Ribs and Muscles". Mrs. Lotalikar and Mrs. Bhedasgaonkar had taken initiative for this wonderful programme.
In launching of service week they arranged a cultural program wherein students performed Dance, Skit on topics like Swatch Bharat, Beti Bachao etc. They invited our students to perform Silent Anthem and a small Act at their ceremony. After the event they felicitated Bhagyashri Vartak and our Principal Mrs. Poonam Sawant by awarding a Trophy (Certificate of Gratitude). Efforts of students were appreciated by Certificates and Gifts. We are very thankful to LN Dr. Arvinder Sandhu for appreciating our school.
Lions Club Ghatkopar Galaxy is celebrating their Service Week. On this occasion they organised Exhibition cum Competition on Science subject. Our students got 1st prise in models of Water Harvesting and Windmill. The subject was "Save Enviornment" and these models are kept in R City Mall, Ghatkopar.
V-shesh's Education Program aims to develop linguistic skills of deaf school children in schools across India. The curriculum has been structured as a 4-module schedule spanning across a year, where children are taught English through the use of sign language; deaf friendly teaching strategies and the use of an interactive learning platform.
The initiative is supported by US-AID and is spread across schools in Mumbai and Delhi.
A parents’ workshop was held in Rochiram T. Thadani School for the hearing handicapped- one of the partner schools- on 19th Dec., 2016. The main objective of the workshop was to bring out issues of parents of deaf children and provide unanimous solutions to them. More than 40 parents participated in the workshop and discussed issues and concerns about their children. The workshop also introduced the parents to the program design and improvements that this design has brought within the children.
Today Rotary Club of Bombay Chembur West had organised "Self Defence" workshop.45 of our girl students had participated in this workshop.They were intrested to know about Self Defence techniques and enthusiastic to know and learn them. We hope it will be very useful for them in the long run.
Mumbai University and Social Welfare Department felicitated our Director of RTT High school for Hearing Handicapped Shri Amar Asrani Sir by bestowing on him Lifetime Achievment Award for his dedication, inspiration and contribution in the field of Hearing Handicapped on 4th Feb,2017.It was an honour to get the same from the hands of Mr.Sanjay Deshmukh,Vice Chancellor ,Mumbai University.
On 4th Feb,2017 we went to Kalina University wherein we presented CCYM's National Anthem. In this programm on the occasion of Divyang Sanskrutik Mahotsav organized by Social Welfare Department ,Maharashtra on state level. our students received 1st prize in the Dance Competition.
On the 4th Feb,2017 Kala Ghoda Festival was inaugurated by the students of our school, showcasing Pyramid Formation twice. One on the lush green ground and second time on the stage for the audience. The audience present at the venue were very appreciating and enjoyed their presentation. Ms. Sudha Chandran was a very prominent audience and she appreciated our students performance and motivated them.
It was a very proud moment for us and a great opportunity to our students to showcase their talent infront of the citizens of Mumbai.
